Allied conducted its 14th annual "Safety Day" event at the Allied headquarters in Lima, Ohio on November 10, 2018. For this annual event, the company dedicates an entire day solely to safety training, awareness and education. The event includes training sessions covering a wide range of topics including: drug free workplace, aerial lifts, confined space entry and rescue, fall protection, and hazardous materials communication.
Training was provided by Allied’s professional staff, as well as local industry leaders and safety professionals. According to Allied CEO Steve Carr, Allied Safety Day serves not only to provide hands-on training for Allied employees, but also to raise general awareness about safe work practices and build a culture of safety within the organization. “Our crews work in some very dangerous environments. Working at height, in confined spaces and around hazardous materials. Keeping safety at top-of-mind is an absolute requirement,” Carr stated. “Allied and its customers understand that safety is the foundation of all we do. Nothing is more important,” Carr continued. “The training is serious business, but we have a lot of fun with it too,” stated Carr.
Allied has long been regarded for its dedication to workplace safety, and has earned numerous awards and accolades from local and national agencies and trade organizations.
